The Causes and Symptoms of Impotence (ED)

Causes of impotence (or ED) could be physical, nonphysical or both.
Physical causes of erectile dysfunction:
• Age
• Excess use of alcohol and tobacco/nicotine/cigarette
• Fatigue/anxiety/stress
• Brain or spinal-cord injuries
• Low testosterone levels i.e. Hypogonadism
• Parkinson’s disease
• Radiation therapy to the testicles
• Heart stroke/s
• Some types of prostate or bladder surgery
• Hyperglycemia (high blood sugar)
• Hypertension (high blood pressure)
The Symptoms are :
Erectile dysfunction (or Impotence) can be categorized under the following patterns:
- Inability to achieve erections occasionally
- Inability to maintain erections during sexual intercourse
- Absolute inability to achieve erections
